Native Plants + Beneficial Species + Edible Perennials

At Whaleback Nursery, we grow plants that thrive in our local ecosystems. Our nursery beds overflow with growth, including a huge variety of native wildflowers, shrubs, and trees that support pollinators, improve soil health, and enhance biodiversity. We consume many of these plants ourselves in the form of leaves, berries, nuts, and flowers. In addition to native plants, we grow a few non-aggressive and, of course, non-invasive beneficial species to help create balanced and productive landscapes.

Garden Consultations

& Design

Our garden consultation services are designed to assist both novice and experienced gardeners in creating thriving, sustainable landscapes. We will meet with you to assess your site conditions, discuss your gardening goals, and recommend appropriate plants and design strategies. We take into consideration factors such as soil health, sun exposure, and water availability to tailor a plan that meets your specific needs. During the consultation, we will also provide guidance on permaculture practices, companion planting, and the integration of native species to maximize the ecological benefits of your garden.

Camping & Events

We love our space, and we think you will too! Spend a night or two at our private campsite in our maple grove or enjoy a garden party with delicious farm-fresh food and drinks. We’ve hosted everything from weddings to private dinners for two, so let your imagination run.
