Our mission of Whaleback Nursery is to get beneficial plants to as many hands as possible. Unfortunately, for many people, plants must take a back seat to food, shelter, and other essentials. Furthermore the development of fruit and nut plants can take time, a resources that many do not have. Due to generations of systemic racism, black, indigenous, and people of color have been disenfranchised and separated from plants and traditions that are key parts of all cultures.
