Boneset - Seeds & Bare Root Plant
(Eupatorium perfoliatum)
A tea made from Boneset leaves is one of the strongest plant medicines we make at Whaleback Nursery. Also known as Thoroughwort for its ability to stimulate immune response, Boneset is also a beautiful wildflower for damper areas. The interesting leaves are perfoliate, or are bisected by the stem of the plant. Delicate clusters of white flowers are on display for nearly two months in the late summer and this plant transplants extremely well. Boneset is most often found in wet meadows and full sun, but we have found it to grow just fine in drier soils and part shade.
Hardiness: Zone 3-8
Soil: Moist, sandy
Light: Full to part shade
Options:
Packet of approximately 200 seeds.
Bare Root Plants can be planted into loose soil in the Fall or Spring and kept moist until new growth emerges.
