8”-12” Bare Root Shrub

(Rubus odoratus)

This is our native raspberry species and while the fruits aren’t quite as large as other cultivated species, this shrub boasts thornless canes, high shade tolerance, and gorgeous pink flowers. Native insects love the flowers and deer leave the plant alone. Mature plants start blooming in mid-June and can last a month. Very easy to propagate, this plant is an excellent choice for shady food forests.

Hardiness: Zone 2-8

Soil: Loam, clay

Light: Full sun to full shade
