Tall Bellflower - Seeds & Bare Root Plant

from $3.50

Campanula americana

This native biennial is well worth the wait as its flowers are some of the most unique and beautiful of all our wildflowers. The pale blue color and large stamens attract bumblebees which swarm the plants in mid-summer. By late September the plant is bursting with seeds, ready to start anew with a small rosette of leaves the following year. The following year the flower stalk shoots up again sometimes as tall as 8 feet. Tall Bellflower thrives in both the sun and part shade.

Seeds require cold stratification to germinate—read this quick article to learn how to accomplish this.

Light: Full sun to part shade
